1Look for an EID

Open the phone dialler and type *#06#. If an EID number appears, your phone supports eSIM. If none appears, it may still support eSIM: look for "Add eSIM" in your mobile network settings.

2Make sure it is unlocked

A phone locked to one carrier cannot use other eSIMs. On iPhone, Settings > General > About > Carrier Lock should say "No SIM restrictions". On Android, ask the carrier you bought it from.
